Main Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities are:

Assists the Principal in developing a college environment which is supportive of learning and high achievement among the students.
Assists the Principal in developing the education aims and objectives of the college, and devising strategies to achieve them.
Assists the Principal in co-coordinating the college plan and policies for approval by the Board.
Assists the Principal in promoting ongoing personal development and in-service and in the identification of the staffing needs of the college – i.e. teaching and support staff.
Assists the Principal in the day to day management of the college, including the planning and overseeing of the daily time tabling of classes.
Assists the Principal in matters of student discipline, in the promotion of good order and general supervision between classes.
Develops and provide appropriate learning and curriculum programs and methods of instruction.
Promotes effective teaching and learning practices across the college.
Assists in the development of the school curriculum and assessment policies.
Develops and implements systems for recording individual students progress and ensures that parents are informed regularly of their progress.
Assists the Principal in supporting the monitoring and evaluation of teaching and learning across the college and contribute to college self-evaluation and the development of improvement plans.
Organizes observation and supervision of educational activities.
Observes and assesses educational processes and their outcomes.

To instruct and supervise students in the programmes of the College in the relevant clinical subject area.

Professional development activities to improve tutorial skill and continue to grow cultural competence and reflection skills
Provide direct assistance in the use of equipment, learning objects, and materials needed for student success
Instruct and supervise students in the programmers of the College in the relevant clinical subject area.
Recognize the different learning styles and student preferences
Create a professional and welcoming environment by modeling respect for students’ diverse cultures, language skills, and experiences
Engage in the assessment of students and assist with the preparation of clinical case material.
Utilize a range of appropriate methods of teaching and assessment to demonstrate clinical learning opportunities.
Provide academic counseling and advice to students.
Liaise with other tutors and staff in other academic and clinical departments to ensure integrated delivery of all courses when necessary.
Teaching, mentoring and evaluating students in clinical areas
Assists section heads with planning and Implementation of section activities
Preparing annual mentorship Schedules

Deliver lectures as part of a formal curriculum and host tutorials and other small group teaching.
Engage in the assessment of students and assist with the preparation of clinical case material.
Utilize a range of appropriate methods of teaching and assessment to demonstrate clinical learning opportunities.
