Key Responsibilities:
Responsible for support of Oracle database systems including but not limited to availability, performance, and reliability of database systems.
Responsible for interfacing with application development teams to ensure applications fit within the Oracle database systems with scalability, reliability and security designed and implemented from the onset.
Perform database performance analysis, tuning, capacity planning, system sizing and ongoing maintenance to ensure maximum performance.
Implement database backup and recovery strategies that meet KCB’s recovery and availability requirements.
Setup and document database related processes and procedures for Business Continuity.
Recommend best practices and ensure they are implemented and incorporated into DBA procedures.
Diagnose and solve complex problems including non-functional problems such as performance issues with Oracle Engineered Systems by identifying workarounds and driving resolution.
Provide technical guidance for design, development, integration and testing of production Oracle databases.
Responsible for ensuring conformance to security standards for all Oracle databases.
Design BCP and HA solutions for Oracle database systems in order to achieve required uptime SLA for mission critical applications.

1. Deals with all matters relating to the day-to-day welfare of participants

1. Promote team work in the facilitation of participant’s activities with other members of staff and volunteers.
2. Facilitate quality participant sessions in line with their rehabilitation care plans. This involves facilitation of programs in psychosocial support, mentorship and education
3. Coordinate and plan with the other staff members on internal control systems, work schedules and follow ups such as community, home, hospital and school and visits
4. Prepare annual and monthly and weekly work plans as well as progress reports for the social department in conjunction with other departmental staff
5. Prepare accounting records, inventory, asset register, periodic financial reports and budget for all the participants and hand them to the team leader on time for monthly requisition and liquidations
6. Conduct needs assessments and case studies of participants in the project
7. Maintain and update participant’s personal files and database
8. Liaise with the project team leader on plans affecting participant’s placement, reintegration issues and family-based interventions.
9. Plan and conduct weekly, monthly meetings with the parents and the community
10. Ensure effective communication, mobilization and networking with other relevant organizations for referrals and support in the rescue, rehabilitation and reintegration of participants.
11. Enhance project efficiency and effectiveness through implementation of follow-up activities with various stakeholders, including monitoring of Koinonia inputs, local conditions and resources
12. Compile Participants related training and orientation materials to promote knowledge sharing with other members of staff, donors and all other stakeholders
13. Knowledge /experience in working with street connected families and children
