                    <description><![CDATA[<p>Job Description<br />
The Officer in the Caring Hearts Employment Office shall be responsible for sourcing,<br />
linking and securing internships and employment opportunities for Caring Hearts and<br />
Hands of Hope Alumni/Graduates in Kenya and abroad. The Officer will liaise with key<br />
employers in the Kenyan Economy and abroad to learn of opportunities as they<br />
emerge and then link them to suitable candidates from their database.<br />
The key duties and responsibilities of the Employment Officer shall be</p>

i. Maintain an accurate qualification database of all Caring Hearts and Hands of<br />
Hope graduates.<br />
ii. Maintain a database of potential employers for the different categories of<br />
graduates.<br />
iii. Liaise with companies, parastatals, Public Service officials, NGOs, and<br />
Ministries for internships, mentorships, and direct employment opportunities.<br />
iv. Monitor job opportunities created in projects and programs in the region and<br />
nationally.<br />
v. Conduct regular research on industry trends and employment opportunities to<br />
inform the Organization about the demands of the job market.<br />
vi. Train the graduates on Cover letter writing, Curriculum Vitae and Insights and<br />
positive habits for application of jobs and interviews.<br />
vii. To develop and review the graduates Cover letters, CVs and Resume.<br />
viii. Confirming terms and conditions of the jobs advertised by employers<br />
ix. Organize career fairs, workshops, and networking events with potential<br />
employers.<br />
x. Develop and review career guidance guidelines and counselling materials for<br />
jobseekers and provide one-on-one career guidance in order to enable<br />
graduates identify their career goals and pathways.<br />
xi. Maintain labour market information systems and disseminate it to jobseekers<br />
xii. Develop and implement strategies that will assist graduates in securing<br />
employment.<br />
xiii. Identifying skill gaps in the graduates and recommending trainings for them<br />
xiv. Matching candidate skills to identified opportunities<br />
xv. Maintain an up to date knowledge on best practices in selection and<br />
recruitment.<br />
xvi. Carry out all the administrative functions of the employment office.<br />
xvii. Train graduates on interview habits and what to expect in interviews.<br />
xviii. Train those who get jobs on how they can advance in career, career planning<br />
and investments<br />
xix. To report to the Chairperson on the number of persons engaged every week<br />
and the progress made in getting job opportunities or internships.<br />
xx. Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the established programs and make<br />
adjustments as necessary to ensure they meet their objectives.<br />
xxi. Keep necessary and accurate records of activities and interactions with<br />
employers and potential employers<br />
xxii. Document and publish success stories<br />
xxiii. Develop accurate monthly and annual reports on the Achievements of the<br />
Employment Office.<br />
xxiv. Handling sensitive and confidential candidates information with high levels of<br />
professionalism<br />
xxv. Any other duty allocated by his seniors.</p>
