The digital agriculture specialist will perform the following key functions.

Assists the FAO Country Representative and management team in preparing digital programmes, priorities, and resource allocation to ensure digital plans and activities are successfully completed within agreed timelines
Conduct a rapid assessment of the existing digital solutions and document their functionalities, gaps, and opportunities at FAO and within government
Prepare a strategy to support the adoption of digital technologies across the representation and Government partners
Develop and prepare data managements strategies for FAO projects
Provide support and guidance in the implementation of digital projects across the representation, including Kenya Integrated Agriculture Management Information System (KIAMIS), Hand-in-Hand (HiH), Digital Villages Initiative (DVI), National Land Information Management System (NLIMS) etc.
Prepare evaluation criteria for Return on Investment (ROI) for the digital processes, technologies, and solutions, including cost savings and sustainability strategies.
Coordinate and manage stakeholders engagement, to ensure digital solutions and systems are developed, implemented, and deployed appropriately.
Prepare and present reports/presentation to intergovernmental agencies or bodies, Digital Working Groups, relevant UN bodies, and other policy-making organs, on FAOs Digital Agenda
Ensure all reports and documentation are filed in appropriate FAO Sharepoint repositories
