Job Description

ADMINISTRATION OFFICER I

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES The officer at this level will report to the Senior Administration Officer for assigned administration functions, which include:

  1. Monitoring the achievement of divisional targets to ensure organizational goals are met;
  2. Implementing administration division resolutions and instructions from the Deputy Director Central Facilitation Services for effective service delivery;
  3. Supervising and providing staff with visionary leadership that harnesses individual strengths and promotes performance;
  4. Ensuring general cleanliness of the office in compliance with the Occupation Safety and Health Act and ODPP policies to create a conducive working environment;
  5. Providing travel assistance to ODPP staff as required;
  6. Arranging office equipment and furniture to ensure organization and efficient space utilization; and
  7. Supervising the performance of staff in junior positions within the division.

REQUIREMENTS FOR APPOINTMENT

To qualify for this position, a candidate must have:

  • i. Served in the grade of Administrative Officer II for a minimum of two (2) years or in another comparable and relevant position in the Public Service or Private Sector;
  • ii. A Bachelor’s Degree in any Social Science or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution;
  • iii. Demonstrated merit and ability as reflected in work performance and results; and iv. Meet the requirements of Chapter Six (6) of the Constitution of Kenya 2010; Integrity, Honesty, and Accountability.
