Job Description

Key responsibilities:

  • Install, maintain, and enhance electrical systems and components, including MV & LV components, fuses, lights, and wiring following established codes and standards.;
  • Document daily operations, repairs, and service information while managing inventory and equipment calibration.
  • Conduct routine inspections, troubleshoot electrical system issues, and implement preventative maintenance.
  • Respond to information requests, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
  • Prepare written documentation for substation maintenance reports and electrical systems, ensuring adherence to codes and standards.
  • Implementation of preventative maintenance on electrical systems and timely troubleshooting and repairs.
  • Coordinate between the delivery team, contractors, project managers, and third-party suppliers.
  • Timely response to information requests and commitments, while ensuring adherence to company policies and procedures.
  • Assist in training apprentices, and perform other duties as assigned, adapting to evolving responsibilities as directed by management.
  • Monitor and maintain the optimal functioning of substation equipment, performing switching operations, and adjusting loads and voltages as required.
  • Conduct routine inspections of substation equipment, inside and outside, making minor adjustments, repairs, and ensuring proper facility operation and security.
  • Acts independently during an emergency by performing duties in rapid succession involving switching, adjusting load and/or voltage, or extinguishing fires
  • Provide accurate, insightful, and timely reports, memos, and presentations as requested by the management.
  • Ensure company policies and procedures are followed by the team members.
