Chatham County Public Works needs Class B Commercial Drivers for Maintenance Worker II-Crew Leader. Apply today!

Job Summary: In this role, you will use your supervisory skills to oversee a small crew of contract laborers or other County employees performing unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance, construction, and repair work in streets, drainage, parks, bridges, or other public areas within the County. You will need excellent communication skills to follow and issue oral/written instructions. You will be required to work nights and weekends in emergencies. Your work will involve physical labor and may be performed in various weather conditions. Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED. You will be required to provide and wear approved steel-toe protective footwear during regular working hours. You must possess a valid Class B Commercial Driver's License at the time of application. You must have or be able to obtain the GA Safety Council Flagger's License within one (1) year of employment.

Note: During emergencies and disasters affecting Chatham County, you may be required to report to work as part of a disaster operations team. This is a safety-sensitive position and subject to random drug testing.
