If you like working outside and have a High School Diploma or GED and one year of experience in general maintenance, this may be the perfect job for you.

Job Summary: Under supervision, you will perform a variety of unskilled and semi-skilled maintenance and/or repair work in parks or other public areas within the County. You will maintain records on work activities and perform physical labor in varied weather conditions. You must be able to work nights and weekends in emergency situations. Other duties may be assigned.

Minimum Qualifications: High School Diploma or GED and one (1) year of experience in general maintenance; or any equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. You must be able to read, write, understand, and follow oral and written instructions. You must be able to safely operate and maintain related vehicles, tools, and equipment and be able to drive a truck with an attached trailer. You must possess and maintain a valid Georgia driver’s license. You are required to provide and wear approved steel toe protective footwear during normal working hours.

Note: During emergencies and disasters affecting Chatham County, you may be required to report to work as part of a disaster operations team.
