Senior Financial Analyst, Operational Excellence (OPEX) Finance

What you can expect:

The Senior Financial Analyst is accountable for driving the analytical and reporting needs of the company’s global transformation program, known as Operational Excellence (OPEX), within its Global Operations & Technology (O&T) division. The Financial Analyst collects, summarizes, and analyzes facts that serve as critical quantitative and qualitative inputs to O&T leadership for strategic decision making around the OPEX program. The candidate, using Excel, PowerPoint, Oracle, Planview and other business intelligence tools will efficiently track key financial and operational metrics for the creation and distribution of financial reports and possess the ability to turn data into insightful and intuitive recommendations.

This position requires exceptional analytical and quantitative skills, along with a strong ability to coordinate and manage multiple projects. The candidate will demonstrate initiative in project management, decision-making, interpersonal and communication skills. Strong attention to detail, follow-through and collaboration is needed to gather information from various sources across our global organization and bring projects to timely completion. The ability to grasp new concepts and work in a fast-paced dynamic environment is vital.

We will count on you to:

Strategy & Planning

Contribute to the overall success of OPEX by developing relationships and knowledge of the company, the program and performance trends

Participate in the evaluation of OPEX initiatives, with a bias to align project timing and resource costs with quantifiable business benefits

Work in conjunction with project managers and other financial analysts to convert findings into financial forecasts and recommendations

Proactively develop financial plans and strategies with program and project management to achieve OPEX objectives

Act as subject matter expert on OPEX initiative tracking, facilitating change management and proper tracking

Performance Measurement & Reporting

Support monthly OPEX reporting, including preparation of the OPEX Dashboard with supporting performance and variance analyses against both cash and P&L

Ensure initiative owners submit complete, accurate and timely cost/benefit information aligned with business case and/or change request financials

Working with regional teams, model cash and P&L impact of change requests and create reforecasts/current estimates

Continuously monitor program performance, act as a fact-based challenger, developing recommendations to improve program outcomes

Build an in depth understanding of key performance indicators and their financial impact with any eye to identifying operating efficiencies

Systems & Process Development

Identify and implement new systems, tools and process functionality to support OPEX performance, in conjunction with the broader finance team

Progress the implementation and use of Planview project management tool

Initiate continuous improvement in processes, systems, and organizational effectiveness

Work with cross-functional teams (controllership, operations, IT, human resources, etc.) to ensure maximum leverage and efficiency are delivered to the business; streamlining reporting and processes where possible

What you need to have:

Ability to work independently and as part of a team, in a time sensitive environment

Candidate must possess advanced Microsoft Office skills (advanced Excel and PowerPoint required, VB, Smartsheets, Teams, Planview, and Qlik a plus) and have the ability to download and manipulate data from other sources

Experience with a General Ledger and query system (Oracle Financials, EPM and SmartView preferred)

A base in NYC

Must have an undergraduate degree in relevant discipline and 3-5 years of relevant experience
