The role is responsible for managing, analyzing, and ensuring the accuracy of financial records and transactions, thereby supporting the financial health and strategic decision-making of an organization.

Key Accountabilities

Financial Record Overall Keeping

  • Maintain accurate and organized financial records, including income, expenses, assets, and liabilities.
  • Record and categorize financial transactions specific to hospitality, such as room revenues, food and beverage sales, and event management.
  • Ensure data integrity and timely updating of financial records.

Financial Reporting

  • Prepare financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Provide clear and concise financial overviews to management and stakeholders.

Budgeting and Forecasting

  • Collaborate with management to develop annual budgets and financial forecasts.
  • Monitor budget performance, analyze variances, and provide recommendations for financial improvements.
  • Assist in financial planning to ensure optimal resource allocation and cost control.

Tax Compliance

  • Ensure compliance with tax regulations.
  • Calculate and prepare tax returns, considering specific hospitality-related tax deductions and credits.
  • Stay informed about changes in tax laws affecting the hospitality industry.

Payroll and Benefits Administration

  • Oversee payroll processing and ensure timely and accurate payment to employees.
  • Manage employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other perks specific to the hospitality industry.
  • Ensure compliance with labor laws and regulations.
