Job Description
Key Duties & Responsibilities
- Operate boilers to generate steam and hot water for processing equipment.
- Perform startup and shutdown procedures safely in accordance with SOPs.
- Conduct routine maintenance, cleaning, and lubrication of boiler equipment.
- Assist in mechanical, electrical, and plumbing repairs as required.
- Monitor fuel, water treatment, and energy efficiency.
- Maintain accurate records of operations, fuel consumption, maintenance, and safety checks.
- Respond promptly to boiler malfunctions, leaks, or pressure fluctuations.
- Support safety compliance, reporting potential hazards immediately.
- Assist skilled technicians (electricians, plumbers, HVAC) as needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, and work areas in clean and safe condition.
Qualifications & Experience
- Certificate or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related technical field.
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in boiler maintenance or HVAC operations, preferably in food processing or manufacturing.
- Valid Boiler Operator License or certification is required. Experience with high-pressure steam boilers is preferred.
- Knowledge of safety regulations and food processing standards.
