About the Role
Community Adolescent Treatment Supporters (CATS) are young volunteers who support adolescents and young people living with or affected by HIV by providing peer support, linkage to care, and community-based health education.
Job Description
As a Community Adolescent Treatment Supporter (CATS), you will:
Key Responsibilities
-
Provide peer-to-peer support to adolescents and young people (AYP)
-
Support treatment adherence and retention in care
-
Conduct community and facility-based follow-ups
-
Assist in health education, psychosocial support, and youth advocacy activities
-
Work closely with health facilities, CCCs, community leaders, and partners
-
Support referrals for medical, psychosocial, and social services
-
Maintain basic activity records and reports
Eligibility Requirements
-
Aged 18–24 years
-
Passionate about peer support, community health, and youth advocacy
-
Willing to work closely with health facilities, communities, and partners
-
Must have a recommendation letter from the CCC In-Charge
-
Resident of Busia County is an added advantage
