Job Description
JOB TITLE: Fleet Assistant
Location: Nairobi
Salary: KES 35,000 Gross
Key Roles & Responsibilities
* Use vehicle tracking systems and fuel monitoring tools to assess routes, fuel drops, time, day, and area-related barriers.
* Plan and dispatch trucks according to designated areas and monitor movements, taking immediate action in case of delays.
* Handle accident scenes, liaise with police, manage towing services, repairs, garages, and follow up on all related documentation and insurance matters.
* Prepare and maintain accurate fleet reports using Microsoft Excel and other relevant tools.
* Manage outsourced drivers and turnboys, including tools issuance, licenses, tickets, NCC requirements, and county-related compliance.
* Ensure all fleet documentation is up to date and compliant with regulations.
* Perform additional duties as assigned, depending on operational needs.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Transport Management, Fleet Management, or a related field.
* Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a fleet or transport-related role.
* Strong knowledge of vehicle tracking systems and fleet reporting.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and basic computer applications.
* Good communication and problem-solving skills.
* Ability to handle pressure, emergencies, and coordinate with multiple stakeholders.
* High level of integrity and attention to detail.
