Position Overview

  • Our client is seeking a dynamic and experienced manager to oversee the operations of a boutique hotel located in Meru. The ideal candidate will ensure exceptional guest experience, efficient management of staff, and strategic growth of the hotel’s market presence.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in hospitality, Tourism, Business, or related fields
  • 3 years’ experience in a similar or related role within the hospitality industry
  • Excellent understanding of market dynamics and digital marketing fundamentals
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills with a customer-first mindset
  • Excellent IT skills and ability to use automated hotel management software and accounting systems

Duties & Responsibilities

  • Hotel management:
    • Oversee daily operations, ensuring smooth functioning of all departments
    • Customer service: Maintain high standards of guest satisfaction and resolve issues promptly
  • Staff supervision:
    • Lead, train, and motivate staff to deliver excellent service
  • Reporting:
    • Prepare and present operational and financial reports to management
  • Sales management:
    • Drive revenue growth through effective sales strategies
  • Financial oversight:
    • Monitor budgets, control costs, and ensure profitability
  • Inventory management:
    • Oversee procurement and stock control for supplies and amenities
