Job Description

Key responsibilities
i. Designing a guide/template for the development of Analysis and Tabulation
Plans of censuses and surveys;
ii. Designing and developing data capture systems;
iii. Designing, developing and reviewing data collection instruments for various
statistics;
iv. Analysing data and generating tables for various analytical reports;
v. Developing and maintaining databases for various censuses and surveys;
vi. Archiving data from various censuses and surveys;
vii. Participating in the development of data cleaning and edit specification
guide;
viii. Formatting the Economic Survey, Statistical abstract and other statistical
publications;
ix. Appraising staff in the Data Processing Section;
x. Developing and implementing budget, work plans and procurement plans
for the section;
xi. Implementing contract management activities within the section;
xii. Identifying and reporting on staff training needs in the data processing
section;
xiii. Implementing and updating the enterprise risk management register.
xiv. Undertaking any other duties lawfully assigned by the supervisor.

Required skills

i. Must have a Diploma in any of the following disciplines:- Statistics; ii. Must have a Certificate in computer applications from a recognized institution.
