Job Description:

The responsibilities of the officer will involve:

Developing and Coordinating Procurement Plans:

Create and coordinate the preparation of annual procurement and disposal plans and ensure their implementation.

Procurement and Disposal Coordination:

Contract Document Preparation:

Custodianship of Contracts:

User Department Liaison:

Collaborate with user departments to ensure effective contract implementation for goods, works, and services.

Committee Secretariat:

Provide secretariat services to committees related to procurement and asset disposal.

Asset Disposal Coordination:

Professional Advice:

Offer professional advice on the procurement of goods, works, and services, as well as asset disposal.

Statutory Reporting:

Prepare statutory reports to the Public Procurement Regulatory Authority (PPRA).

Review of Authority’s Procurement Needs:

Requirements for Appointment:

For appointment to this grade, a candidate must:

Have ten (10) years of relevant work experience in a public or private institution, with five (5) years in a senior management role.
Possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Commerce, Procurement and Supplies Management, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Hold a Master’s Degree in Supply Chain Management, logistics, or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Have a Diploma in Supplies Management or an equivalent qualification from a recognized institution.
Be a member of a professional body, either KISM or CIPS, in good standing.
Demonstrate proficiency in computer applications.
