Job Description

Key Responsibilities

  • Teach Mathematics, Pre-Technical Studies and Integrated Science to Grades 4–9 using learner-centred, CBE-aligned methods.

  • Prepare schemes of work, lesson plans, teaching materials and practical activities.

  • Assess learners, maintain academic records and provide feedback.

  • Offer remedial and enrichment support to meet diverse learner needs.

  • Manage classrooms and promote a safe, inclusive learning environment.

  • Engage parents on learner progress and collaborate with colleagues.

  • Participate in co-curricular activities and provide class teacher guidance and pastoral care.

  • Integrate ICT and digital tools into teaching and assessment.

Qualifications

  • P1 Teacher Certificate and Diploma in Primary Teacher Education from recognised institutions.

  • Valid TSC registration and TSC number.

  • Understanding of the Competency-Based Education (CBE) framework.

  • A Bachelor’s Degree in Education (Science, Mathematics or Technology) is an added advantage.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Google Workspace and educational technology.

  • Additional training in special needs education, child protection, counselling or curriculum implementation is an advantage.
