Job Description
The Mission Driver provides professional, safe, and secure driving services to missionaries, mission leaders, visiting authorities, guests, and others within the mission. The role involves transporting missionary supplies, packages, and materials safely, while performing other assigned duties by applying knowledge of driving regulations and following instructions.
Responsibilities (Roles)
- Provide safe and secure driving services to missionaries, mission leaders, and visitors
- Ensure safety of passengers while in transit
- Transport missionaries, supplies, packages, and materials as directed
- Run errands as assigned by mission leaders
- Verify goods against shipping documents
- Maintain vehicle logs and up-to-date records
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and troubleshooting
- Inspect vehicles regularly for optimal performance
- Load and unload mission vehicles when required
- Provide traffic precautions and handle emergency roadside repairs
- Follow driving regulations and instructions at all times
- Perform any other duties assigned
Qualifications
- Must be a member of the Church and worthy of a temple recommend
- Minimum of Senior High School/Diploma Certificate or equivalent
- Valid driver’s license class “C” or above
- 3–5 years of driving experience with a good driving record
- Basic knowledge of auto mechanics and electronics (added advantage)
- Safety-conscious and security-minded
- High level of confidentiality and professionalism
- Good interpersonal and communication skills
- Ability to follow instructions and demonstrate maturity
- Familiarity with GPS devices
- Ability to properly care for and maintain vehicles and equipment
- Basic computer skills (Microsoft Office, internet, communication tools)
- Willingness to work weekends and night shifts when required
