Job Description

Successful applicants will attend a one-day workshop to provide them with:

  • In-depth understanding of humanitarian crises in the region
  • Skills training in emergencies/health and humanitarian journalism, data analysis, storytelling for impact; ethical reporting in sensitive contexts, and storytelling techniques.
  • Networking opportunities with MSF staff and fellow journalists
  • Fellows will be selected based on their pitches and engagement during the training workshop, and the stories done in the month of October and November.

Required skills

Applicants must be Kenyan citizens. Applicants must have a minimum of three years of relevant work experience. Applicants should have a demonstrated interest reporting on humanitarian work. The fellowship is open to journalists based and publishing in Kenya.
