Job Description

Gelian Hotel is seeking a dynamic and experienced Operations Manager to oversee the day-to-day operations of the hotel. The role involves managing various aspects, including front desk, housekeeping, food and beverage, maintenance, and security, to ensure smooth and efficient operations. The ideal candidate should have a strong background in hotel management, exceptional leadership skills, and a passion for delivering outstanding guest experiences.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Oversee Daily Operations:
    • Manage and supervise all hotel operations for seamless day-to-day running.
  2. Guest Satisfaction:
    • Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction through service excellence.
  3. Staff Management:
    • Recruit, train, and supervise department heads and staff for optimal performance.
  4. Financial Management:
    • Develop and manage the hotel’s operating budget, monitor expenses, and enhance cost-effectiveness.
  5. Quality Control:
    • Implement and maintain quality control standards across all hotel departments.
  6. Health and Safety Compliance:
    • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standards for a secure environment.
  7. Inventory and Supplies Management:
    • Oversee inventory management for operational items, such as linens, amenities, and cleaning supplies.
  8. Vendor Management:
    • Develop relationships with external vendors to ensure quality and cost-effective services.
  9. Operational Efficiency:
    • Identify opportunities for improvements, implement efficient processes, and monitor key performance indicators.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Hospitality Management, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in hotel or operations management, preferably in a four-star or higher-rated hotel.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities.
  • Sound understanding of financial management and budgeting principles.
  • Proficient in hotel management software and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Knowledge of health, safety, and sanitation standards in the hospitality industry.
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
  • Ability to work under pressure and adapt to a fast-paced environment.
