Premier Hospital ICT Officer Positions in Kenya

Job Purpose

The primary objective of this role is to manage comprehensive firewall operations, provide support to end-user departments, troubleshoot, install, and repair software and hardware across various departments. This entails collaboration with a multidisciplinary team and adherence to established protocols and the organization’s technology objectives.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the hospital’s technological infrastructures and operations to ensure compliance with company policies and regulations.
  • Maintain and troubleshoot all network and computer-related issues for optimal performance.
  • Troubleshoot and repair hardware, operating systems, applications, and CCTV systems.
  • Conduct preventive maintenance on ICT hardware, including equipment cleaning.
  • Configure and maintain network access privileges, applications, data storage, and regular backups.
  • Implement security and physical control solutions for confidential data and systems, identifying security gaps and proposing solutions in consultation with the ICT Manager.
  • Collaborate with end-users to clarify, analyze, and resolve reported issues, delivering high standards of ICT support.
  • Manage and maintain the Hospital website, Internet, Graphic designs, and WAN in coordination with other relevant departments.
  • Keep records/logs of repairs and fixes, maintain a maintenance schedule, and update the inventory of all ICT infrastructure equipment, including licenses.

Minimum Requirements/Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in information technology, computer science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
  • Minimum of 3 years of professional experience as an ICT officer, with at least 1 year of experience in a busy hospital setting.
