About the Role

  • We are recruiting on behalf of our client, a growing construction company specializing in waterproofing, renovations, repairs, remodeling, and general construction works, for a competent and hands-on Quantity Surveyor.
  • The successful candidate will play a key role in project costing, tender preparation, site assessments, contract administration, cost control, and project monitoring.
  • This opportunity is ideal for a practical Quantity Surveyor who can confidently move between the office and construction sites and understands how accurate costing directly affects project profitability.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare accurate Bills of Quantities (BOQs), cost estimates, quotations, and tender documents.
  • Conduct material take-offs and develop project budgets.
  • Conduct site visits, measurements, assessments, and project evaluations.
  • Monitor project costs against approved budgets.
  • Evaluate quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
  • Track project variations and prepare valuation reports.
  • Monitor project progress, costs, and profitability.
  • Prepare weekly and monthly project cost reports.
  • Identify cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality.
  • Support project managers with resource planning and cost control.
  • Prepare tender submissions and contract documentation.
  • Assist with contract administration.
  • Liaise with clients, suppliers, contractors, and project teams.
  • Attend project meetings and professionally represent the company.
  • Maintain accurate project and cost records.
  • Provide management with timely project costing and performance insights.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Diploma or Degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, Building Economics, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
  • At least 3 years practical experience in construction projects.
  • Proven experience preparing BOQs, quotations, cost estimates, and tender documents.
  • Practical knowledge of construction methods, materials, and project costing.
  • Experience in waterproofing, renovations, repairs, remodeling, or general construction will be a strong advantage.
  • Ability to independently conduct site assessments and project costing.
  • Ability to interpret architectural and engineering drawings.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience using Quantity Surveying or construction-related software is an advantage.
