Job Description
An exciting opportunity exists for an experienced Resource Estimation Geologist to lead mineral resource estimation and geological modelling for a major mining operation in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC).
Key Responsibilities
-
Estimate, classify, and report mineral resources to international standards (JORC / NI 43-101 / SAMREC)

Build and maintain geological and resource models using Datamine / Leapfrog / Vulcan
-
Lead QA/QC, reconciliation, and technical reporting
-
Collaborate with geology, planning, and operations teams
-
Support automation, digital transformation, and continuous improvement
-
Ensure full compliance with HSE and reporting standards
Requirements
-
Degree in Geology (postgraduate qualification in Geostatistics preferred)
-
3–5+ years of mining experience, including resource modelling
-
Strong geostatistics, 3D interpretation, and technical reporting skills
-
Proficiency in resource estimation software
-
Knowledge of DRC mining legislation is an advantage
