Job Description

Key Responsibilities:
• Monitor pool activities and ensure compliance with safety guidelines and procedures.
• Maintain constant surveillance of the pool area and promptly identify any potential hazards or unsafe conditions.
• Enforce pool rules and regulations in a firm and courteous manner.
• Provide assistance and guidance to swimmers as needed, including instruction on proper swimming techniques and water safety.
• Respond immediately to any emergencies or incidents in the pool area, including administering first aid and performing CPR if necessary.
• Conduct routine inspections of pool equipment and facilities to ensure proper functioning and safety.
• Communicate effectively with hotel guests and staff to address any concerns or inquiries related to pool activities.
• Maintain cleanliness and orderliness of the pool area, including regular removal of debris and cleaning of pool surfaces.
• Attend training sessions and meetings as required to stay current on lifeguarding techniques and safety protocols.

Required skills

Ability to remain calm and focused in emergency situations. CPR and First Aid certification Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong swimming skills and knowledge of water rescue techniques. Valid lifeguard certification from a recognized authority (e.g., Red Cross, YMCA).
