ASSISTANT LECTURER – PUBLIC HEALTH (Grade 11)

Duties and Responsibilities
i. Teaching and assessing courses in environmental health/public health at the undergraduate level
ii. Supervising undergraduate projects and other experiential learning programs.
iii. Initiating, promoting, and participating in research projects and publishing in scholarly refereed
journals or book chapters/books
iv. Participating in professional and community services, initiating partnerships and linkages, and
fundraising for the university; and
v. Carrying out such other duties as may be assigned from time to time.

Requirements for Appointment
i. Must have a Master’s degree in Public Health (MPH) and BSc in Environmental Health or
Public Health degree from a recognized university
ii. Must be Registered for a Ph.D. degree in a recognized University
iii. Must have at least three (3) years post qualification work experience.
iv. Must be registered by the Association of Public Health Officers (APHOK)
v. Must have evidence of membership or affiliation to APHOK
