Accountabilities

Business and Project Development: Responsibility to originate, assess and support Solar/Onshore Wind projects via greenfield origination or partnerships with early-stage developers. Drive building a material (>100MW/year) Solar/Wind project pipeline through a combination of greenfield, brownfield projects. Help with all project development activities include negotiation with third party developers, landowners, permitting, working with technical and legal advisors, and contracting activities.

Strategy: Develop and update, fine-tune, and execute the overall strategy for the Japanese renewable power market to build a scalable renewable power business.

required Qualities:

  • Fluency in Japanese and proficiency in English and Japanese.
  • Degree in Finance / Economics / Business / Law or related field.
  • Minimum of 8 years of experience required, at least five years in solar PV and Renewable Power space
  • Record of success in originating, negotiating, closing and developing solar PV or Renewable Power deals
  • Experience in sourcing, building, and managing strong industry and customer relationships
  • Assertive, able to cope with dynamic surroundings, problem solving abilities, a team player, prepared to travel
  • Deep understanding of Japanese competitive landscape
  • Demonstrated ability and drive in generating deal flow and closing deals
  • Demonstrated initiative, ownership and focus regarding all tasks and deliverables related to deal closing

beneficial Experiences and Qualifications

  • Prior engagement experience with Japanese energy industry participants and or service providers.
  • Willingness and ability to sustainably work against challenging business delivery and innovation targets within a changing external environment.
