Product Owner (WhatsApp-Based Platform) at Deimos

Role Overview

We are building an innovative delivery management and data platform to optimize for delivery experiences across South Africa. Our solution includes a mobile app (iOS and Android) and web application that enables communities to automatically gather, analyze, and share real-time delivery data. Currently in stealth mode, this project transforms manual delivery requests and communication updates into a digital, data-driven platform and streamlines the end-to-end experience.
The product works across WhatsApp, Android, iOS and Web collecting real-time delivery data, transforming it into visual insights for businesses to manage customers and orders, Turning business workflows and customer updates into a streamlined scalable solution.
We’re looking for a Product Owner who’s great at turning early ideas into clear, structured tickets. You’ll keep documentation tidy and up to date by mapping out flows, edge cases, and dependencies, so the dev team always knows what to build and why.
This product needs someone who understands how to connect technical workflows and the user needs and can turn that understanding into structured, build-ready plans that evolve the entire solution
You will be required to work closely with the product strategies who owns and defines the product vision.
You’re responsible for turning the vision into tangible user experiences through:
Interpreting rough wireframes and creative concepts into structured, build-ready documentation
Asking thoughtful questions to fill in UX and logic gaps
Helping validate flows against edge cases and technical constraints
Defining alternate paths like empty states, failure states, and error handling
Maintaining clear flow maps or outlines to support developer execution
Collaborating closely with the UX strategist to evolve product flows during implementation

What will you be doing

Own the product backlog: write clear, detailed, and actionable user stories with acceptance criteria and edge case handling. Ensure that the backlog can tell a story of the development journey and is always kept up to date as the single source of truth
Run sprint planning and grooming sessions, by ensuring that requirements and outcomes are clear
Continuously prioritize and refine features, bugs, and tech debt items to ensure delivery cadence
Track progress of the product roadmap and align the entire Product, Design and Engineering team on what’s in scope, what’s next, and what’s done and how we will get there
Manage and mitigate risks that may hinder the team and the product product progress by keeping key stakeholders in the loop and proactively seeking feasible and viable solutions to keep the entire product at low or no risk
Coordinate day-to-day with dev, QA, and data collaborators, acting as the central source of truth for delivery
Triage bugs and unblock developers, owning daily prioritization
Support sprint retrospectives and help implement process improvements
Collaborate with QA to clarify test cases, review feature completeness, and ensure shippable quality
Coordinate internal release readiness, defining what’s shippable and when
Validate UX flows against edge cases and tech limitations
Maintain structured flow maps or outlines to support clarity across the team
Define alternate paths and fallback states based on UX intent
Work closely with the UX strategist to evolve product flows during dev cycles

MEAL Officer, Kakuma, Kenya

Background

The MEAL Officer will report to the MEAL Manager. He/She will be responsible for working alongside the MEAL manager and MEAL Assistant in spearheading monitoring, evaluation, learning and reporting activities in the IRC Kakuma program by working with the Health, Nutrition, SGBV and Safe Programming programs to ensure that all activities are carried out and challenges addressed on time for overall project goal realization.

Major responsibilities: A) Supervision of M&E Systems and Tools in use.

Liaise with the Kakuma west Sub County Monitoring and Evaluation team to avail all the MOH tools required for data collection and reporting in the facilities.
Conduct continuous on job trainings to the program staff on the MOH and IRC tools utilization on an ongoing basis to ensure data collected meets the quality requirements.

meeting the production and content needs of the area. They help to

• Working with the production and content team to ensure that the

Description:

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
A strong background in software engineering as well as prior experience in product management.

Job Description

The Avocado Irrigation Manager at Mutara Orchards Limited will be responsible for ensuring all trees and seedlings planted in the field and nursery have adequate water for optimal growth and maintenance of the irrigation system.

Main Responsibilities

Monitoring the quality of water entering and leaving the irrigation system to ensure that it meets health and safety standards.
Manage irrigation and scheduling of irrigation-based crop requirements and stages of production.
Evaluating the effectiveness of the irrigation systems to determine if they need repair or replacement.
Analyzing soil conditions and making recommendations for improving the crop’s yield potential.
Monitoring water levels in the Avocado service dam and other sources of water to ensure an adequate supply during periods of high demand.
Working with engineers and contractors to design new irrigation systems or modify existing ones.
Supervising the construction of new irrigation systems or repairing existing ones.
Manage Avocado nursery irrigation system.
Ensure management of seedling health in the nursery.
Ensure that all labor in the Avocado section is effective and efficient and that they meet their allocated daily tasks.
Ensure that the Orchard’s Avocado operations adhere to local and international standards.
Train staff in best practices for Avocado Irrigation Management from time to time.
Ensure safe working conditions.
Preparing reports on the irrigation progress.

Monitoring and surveying sections

Conduct daily or weekly moisture content tests.
Identify and report on moisture status.
Collect data using photos and on forms.
Collect water samples as recommended and follow up on chemical and pathology testing.
Notify security of any crop theft or distraction.
Monitoring the efficiency of pumps, drips, etc.

Recording and Reporting

Collect and record irrigation data.
Make recommendations based on field status.
Communicate any irregular field situation to the Line Manager.
Maintaining up-to-date records and reports.

Qualification, Experience, and Knowledge

Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture or Irrigation Science.
3-5 years of experience on a large-scale farm.
Knowledge of Avocado fruit management.
Ability to manage budgets and make financial decisions.
Result-oriented, quality-oriented individual with a high level of integrity.
Able to collaborate with all teams at the farm.
Open to change and willing to learn new farming systems.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with strong organizational and time management skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
