Senior Assistant Registrar (Programs Manager) – University Advancement and Institutional Development
Duties and Responsibilities
- Develop new projects to support the strategic direction of the University.
- Develop proposals for various projects.
- Produce accurate and timely reporting of project status throughout their life cycles, developing work plans and standard operating procedures.
- Communicate with stakeholders of different projects. Implement and manage changes and interventions to ensure project goals are achieved.
- Serve as a liaison between Central Administration, Faculties, Institutes, and other stakeholders in different programs and coordinate collaborative events.
- Collect and analyze monitoring and evaluation data and prepare reports for the same.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor from time to time.
Salary and Benefits
- Basic Salary: Kshs 127,116 – 184,318
- House Allowances: Kshs 58,972
- Additional allowances and benefits per terms of service or Council determinations
Qualifications for Appointment
- Academic and professional criteria:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Kenyan university in Administration, Business Administration, Project Planning and Management, or related discipline.
- Master’s degree in Administration, Business Administration, Project Planning and Management, or related discipline.
- Membership in a relevant Professional body (if applicable).
Experience and Skills
- 9 years administrative experience, with at least 3 years at the Assistant Registrar level.
- Demonstrable experience in project planning/programming activities.
- Demonstrable experience in networking, fundraising, and resource mobilization for research, scholarship, and development.
- Administrative skills: organization, responsibility, teamwork, communication, time management, multitasking, and customer care.
- Computer literacy.
