Salary and Benefits
- Basic Salary: Kshs 127,116-184,318
- House Allowances: Kshs 58,972
- Additional allowances and benefits as per terms of service or Council determinations
Qualifications for Appointment
- Academic and professional criteria:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Kenyan university in Administration, Educational Administration, Communication, Management, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Master’s degree in Administration, Educational Administration, Education, Communication, Management, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Membership in good standing to a relevant Professional body (if applicable).
Experience and Skills
- 9 years administrative experience, with at least 3 years at the Assistant Registrar level or equivalent.
- Administrative skills: organization, responsibility, teamwork, communication, time management, multitasking, and customer care.
- Computer literacy.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Coordinate meetings of Senate and Senate Committees.
- Administer Senate and Senate Committee documents.
- Prepare appropriate responses to enquiries on Senate matters.
- Monitor implementation of Senate recommendations.
- Collate, consolidate, and preserve records of Senate and Senate Committee activities.
- Prepare reports for Council & Council Committees.
- Coordinate certification & e-repository of Senate Reports.
- Coordinate Accreditation of Institutions.
- Administer Senate annual work plans.
- Manage and administer personnel in the Senate Secretariat section.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor from time to time.
