Senior Assistant Registrar (Administration) – Administration Department, AC/12/297/23
Duties and Responsibilities
- Serve as a liaison for council, coordinating calendar, travel, meeting, and schedule arrangements for the Chair of Council and other Council members.
- Coordinate operations of the Chair of Council’s office and attendant maintenance.
- Facilitate council members to attend meetings.
- Facilitate the chair of council as may be required.
- Provide administrative support to new projects in the University.
- Develop reports on new projects’ status throughout their life cycles.
- Collect and analyze monitoring and evaluation data and prepare reports for the same.
- Any other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor from time to time.
Salary and Benefits
- Basic Salary: Kshs 127,116-184,318
- House Allowances: Kshs 58,972
- Additional allowances and benefits as per terms of service or Council determinations
Qualifications for Appointment
- Academic and professional criteria:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Kenyan university in Administration, Communication, Management, Public Administration, Public Policy, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Master’s degree in Administration, Educational Administration, Communication, Management, Public Administration, Public Policy, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
- Membership in good standing to a relevant Professional body (if applicable).
Experience and Skills
- 9 years administrative experience, with at least 3 years at the Assistant Registrar level.
- Member of a recognized, relevant professional body.
- Administrative skills: organization, responsibility, teamwork, communication, time management, multitasking, and customer care.
- Computer literacy.
