Job Description

Purpose of the Job

To provide user support and customer service on the College supported computer applications and platforms as well as to troubleshoot problems and advise on the appropriate action.

Main Duties and Responsibilities

The duties and responsibilities are;

Provide teaching and orientation to new students of existing technology.
Provide network access to all staff and students
Carry out Daily, Weekly and Monthly backups for the processes management systems, and ensure that the backup media are kept in safe custody as required.
Implementation of approved data management System job requests as per the users’ requirements.
Organize and facilitate training for the data management system to users according to the users’ needs.
Assist in developing training materials for any acquired management system, and Basic Computer usage.
Overseeing all hardware and software installation and network connectivity to all Computer Workstations.
Ensuring that the college IT systems are working as they should, 24hrs a day, by ensuring timely repair and replacements.
Install and configure operating systems to an agreed standard.
Compile support centre technical documentation, guidelines and procedures and ensure they are disseminated to users.
Participate in appropriate training activities.
Producing necessary reports/Statistics on performance of the system.
