Job Description

Roles / Duties

  • Measure, cut, and assemble wood and other materials
  • Construct and install structures such as doors, windows, roofs, and cabinets
  • Perform joinery work (fittings, fixtures, furniture making)
  • Read and interpret construction drawings and specifications
  • Repair and maintain wooden structures and fittings
  • Use hand tools and power tools safely
  • Ensure accuracy, finishing, and quality of work
  • Follow safety procedures on site

Qualifications

  • Trade Test Certificate (Grade III, II, or I) in Carpentry & Joinery
  • Certificate in Building Construction or related field
  • Practical experience in carpentry or joinery work
  • Ability to read and interpret drawings
  • Knowledge of woodworking tools and materials
  • Attention to detail and good craftsmanship skills
  • Physical fitness and ability to work on-site
  • Basic understanding of safety practices
