Job Description
Roles & Responsibilities
- Provide first-level technical support to users by diagnosing and resolving hardware, software, and network issues.
- Install, configure, and maintain computer systems, printers, and other IT equipment.
- Assist in troubleshooting operating systems, applications, and internet connectivity problems.
- Monitor and maintain the organization’s IT infrastructure to ensure optimal performance.
- Support the setup and maintenance of email accounts, user accounts, and system access permissions.
- Perform routine system updates, software installations, and antivirus maintenance.
- Document technical issues, resolutions, and support activities in the helpdesk system.
- Assist in data backup, recovery, and disaster recovery procedures.
- Educate users on basic IT best practices and cybersecurity awareness.
- Escalate complex technical issues to senior IT personnel when necessary.
- Ensure all IT equipment is properly maintained and inventoried.
- Provide support during system upgrades, network installations, and other IT projects.
- Maintain confidentiality and security of company data and information systems.
- Perform other technical support duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Pursuing or recently completed a Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, Software Engineering, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of computer hardware, networking, and operating systems.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Windows, Microsoft Office, and common software applications.
- Knowledge of basic networking concepts (LAN/WAN, Wi-Fi, TCP/IP) is an added advantage.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a team.
- Willingness to learn new technologies and adapt to changing IT environments
