Roles / Responsibilities

  • Perform welding and fabrication of metal components and structures
  • Repair and join metal parts using appropriate welding techniques
  • Read and interpret welding drawings and specifications
  • Inspect welds for quality and strength
  • Maintain welding equipment and tools
  • Follow safety procedures, including use of protective gear
  • Assist in installation and maintenance of mechanical structures
  • Keep records of work completed

Qualifications

  • Trade Certificate in Welding or related field
  • Practical experience in welding and fabrication
  • Knowledge of different welding techniques (e.g., arc, gas, MIG/TIG)
  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
  • Strong attention to detail and quality
  • Physical fitness for manual work
  • Certification in welding (if required) is an added advantage
