Job Description
The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:
(i) Conducting research in educational assessment and monitor learner’s achievement;
(ii) Coordinating the conduct and participation in the educational conferences;
(iii) Coordinating collaborations and partnerships with other examinations/assessment
bodies or organizations and individuals interested in collaboration with KNEC;
(iv) Collaborating with other organizations/agencies/stakeholders on educational research
initiatives;
(v) Coordinating training in educational assessment;
(vi) Coordinating Innovation and Protection of Intellectual Property Rights.
(vii) Coordinating knowledge management;
(viii) Undertaking sales and marketing of KNEC services and products;
(ix) Managing the KNEC Educational Assessment Resource centre;
(x) Coordinating the development of capacity building course content;
(xi) Identifying resource personnel for capacity building courses;
(xii) Coordinating the sales and marketing of assessment products and services;
(xiii) Overseeing the preparation of annual work plans and budgets;
(xiv) Propose training and development interventions for the staff in the Department;
(xv) Coordinate the implementation of the performance management system in the
department.
