Job Description


Under the supervision of the Manager, Legal & IR Services, FKE is looking to appoint and train Legal Research Assistants as part of the organization’s capacity development initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct legal research and formulate internal briefings on issues related to labor laws and social policy.
  • Provide reports and summaries concerning upcoming Employment and Labour Relations Court cases.
  • Assist in the preparation and drafting of memorandums.
  • Monitor legislative calendars at the Executive, National Assembly, Senate, and County levels to identify upcoming matters on Employment and Labour Relations.
  • Track the status of various bills and maintain an updated tracker report.
  • Offer research support in other Employment, Legal, and Policy matters within the Federation.
  • Draft correspondence.
  • Provide assistance to the legal and Industrial Relations Department.
  • Maintain up-to-date records on bills, memorandums, and other policy instruments.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Law.
  • Postgraduate Diploma in Law will be an added advantage.
  • Research skills.
  • 2 years of relevant work experience.
