Job Description

Job Purpose

  • The Digital Sales person will be responsible for converting customer inquiries into sales across the WhatsApp, Flowcart and social media, and for proactively reactivating past clients through cold outreach.
  • The role combines responsive customer service on inbound inquiries with proactive outreach to grow repeat business.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Inbound Customer Engagement
  • Manage customer engagements across WhatsApp, Flowcart and social media.
  • Respond to calls, messages, comments and online inquiries promptly.
  • Follow up on Flowcart broadcasts and customer leads.
  • Confirm all order details in writing before closing the sale.
  • Escalation Protocol Attend to complaints, price disputes and escalate where necessary.
  • Convert customer inquiries into confirmed. sales.
  • Ensure no online customer is left unattended during working hours.

Cold Outreach

  • Reach out to previous clients to reintroduce products, promotions, and new stock.
  • Maintain and work through a structured list of past clients, prioritized by recency and value of past purchase.
  • Log outcome of every outreach contact,

Service Quality Standards

  • Greet and acknowledge every customer personally.
  • Provide accurate product, pricing and stock information.
  • Give clear next steps after every customer interaction.
  • Log all customer inquiries and outcomes across every platform.
  • Respond and follow up within the required timelines.
  • Maintain a consistent, well-documented client outreach pipeline.
  • Ensure no online customer is left unattended during working hours.
  • Report total sales daily, weekly and monthly.

Qualifications

  • Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Marketing, Business Administration, E-Commerce, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in online sales, retail sales, or customer service.
  • Experience in a retail, fashion, FMCG, or e-commerce environment is an added advantage.
