Job Description
Role Summary
- The Sports/PE Teachers will be responsible for advancing learners’ physical ability and knowledge of sports. Be responsible for the welfare of the students by ensuring that students gain the qualifications they need to advance their education or their desired career paths after school.
Key Responsibilities
- Be in a position to develop programs to meet the needs, abilities and interests of learners using a range of instructional techniques and media keeping abreast of current coaching techniques.
- Supervising practical PE lessons, including both indoor and outdoor classes.
- Ensuring that learners compete to their ability level and aren’t exposed to unnecessary injury or illness through school sports.
- Motivating learners to take up new sports and encouraging maximum participation and enthusiasm.
- Evaluating the performance of students throughout the school calendar year using benchmarks and set targets for improvement.
- Teach PHE and any other subject with high regard for health and safety.
- Training and coaching school sports team to compete and succeed in internal and external sporting activities.
- Be in a position to meet the needs, abilities and interests of learners in a variety of game and sporting activities.
- Manage and update the progress of students and create reports for parents.
