Job Description
Project Officer- Change Management
Key Responsibilities
Change Management:
- Lead and facilitate Health Systems strengthening initiatives at county and primary care facilities for improved performance and successful adoption of new processes, systems, and methodologies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and roll out accountability and performance improvement initiatives, providing guidance and support to stakeholders at all levels.
Organizational Effectiveness:
- Conduct organizational assessments to identify areas for improvement and opportunities for enhanced efficiency.
- Design and implement strategies to optimize organizational structure, workflow, and resource allocation.
Systems Analysis and Implementation:
- Evaluate existing systems and processes to identify inefficiencies and propose solutions for improvement.
- Collaborate with IT and other relevant departments to implement new systems and technologies aligned with organizational goals.
Data Analysis:
- Utilize data-driven insights to inform decision-making and measure the impact of organizational changes.
- Develop and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) to track and report on the effectiveness of implemented changes.
Training and Development:
- Develop and deliver training programs to ensure Nairobi County Health staff are equipped with the necessary skills to adapt to changes.
- Provide ongoing support and resources to promote continuous learning and development within the organization.
- Support the county in developing coaching initiatives to enhance the delivery of health services.
Stakeholder Engagement:
- Develop initiatives with various stakeholders to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of health care delivery, ensuring an enhanced experience for both care providers and patients.
- Assist in organizing and facilitating meetings, workshops, and stakeholder consultations.
- Cultivate positive relationships with project partners, including government authorities, healthcare facilities, and community stakeholders.
Adaptability and Problem-Solving:
- Tackle project challenges with flexibility and innovative problem-solving.
- Ensure project activities align with the evolving needs and priorities of Nairobi County.
Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL):
- Play a pivotal role in developing and implementing MEL frameworks to assess the impact of programs and projects.
- Collect, analyze, and report on MEL data to guide project decision-making.
- Design and conduct evaluations, surveys, and assessments to measure and report on program effectiveness.
- Regularly assess project activities, track progress, and identify areas for improvement.
Project Management:
- Apply strong project management skills to oversee and coordinate multiple projects simultaneously, ensuring effective implementation of strategic initiatives.
- Develop comprehensive project plans outlining scope, objectives, timelines, resources, and budget.
- Monitor and manage risks throughout the project cycle.
Qualifications
- A minimum of a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, with at least five years of experience in change management, organizational development, or a related field.
- Proven track record of successfully leading and implementing organizational change initiatives.
- Strong project management skills with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage stakeholders at all levels.
- Analytical mindset with proficiency in data analysis and interpretation.
- Knowledge of relevant tools and technologies related to organizational effectiveness and systems change.
- Demonstrated expertise in project coordination and stakeholder management, particularly within the government sector.
- Profound understanding of Monitoring, Evaluation, and Learning (MEL) principles and a track record in developing and implementing MEL frameworks.
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a team.
- Familiarity with various donors and healthcare systems in Nairobi County is a plus.
