Job Description

What you will do

  • Your passion is building and running reliable integrations. You don’t just deploy flows; you take pride in operating them with discipline and continuously improving them.
  • You take over approved SAP CI solutions after project handover and assume day-to-day technical ownership through their full lifecycle.
  • You monitor integration flows and message processing, analyse and resolve standard incidents, and diagnose issues across SAP CI and the connected source and target applications.
  • You fix defects, implement standard change requests and smaller enhancements, and deploy corrections through the established release and transport processes.
  • You develop and modify standard SAP CI integration flows, configure integrations using the required protocols and technologies, and create or adjust XML/JSON transformations and XPath expressions.
  • You manage solution-specific certificates, credentials, and configurations, ensuring integrations stay secure and compliant.
  • You contribute your SAP CI expertise within the existing incident-management process, handling standard cases independently and escalating complex ones to internal SAP CI seniors with a clear initial technical analysis.
  • You collaborate closely with source and target system teams during problem analysis, and communicate confidently with platform, application, project, and support teams.
  • You maintain technical and operational documentation, capturing troubleshooting findings, procedures, and solution-specific knowledge so the team’s collective capability keeps growing.
  • You share SAP CI knowledge through documentation, pairing, and daily collaboration, helping colleagues build practical SAP CI skills through joint operational and development work.
  • Your task requires close coordination with the SAP CI platform team, application teams, project teams, and business stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field.
  • 2 to 4 years of hands-on SAP (Cloud) Integration experience
  • Proven SAP CI development experience, including building and modifying standard integration flows.
  • Experience supporting SAP CI integrations in production, including monitoring, incident analysis, and defect resolution.
  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA integrations.
  • Practical experience taking over and maintaining approved solutions after project handover.
  • Hands-on ability to configure integrations using the required protocols and technologies.
  • Skills in creating and adjusting XML/JSON transformations and XPath expressions.
  • Sound knowledge and skills of technologies (e.g. Java, JSON, XML, REST/SOAP) and integration solutions (e.g. API, ETL, ESB)
  • Experience managing certificates, credentials, and solution-specific configurations.
  • Experience managing releases and transports according to established processes.
  • Structured and methodical troubleshooting approach, with the ability to work independently on standard cases.
  • Confident written and verbal English communication skills, sufficient for calls, stakeholder discussions, and technical documentation.
  • Experience working within formal incident-management and change-management processes
  • Exposure to a broad range of SAP and non-SAP connected applications as source or target systems.
  • Experience contributing to process improvements and helping adapt established processes to SAP CI specifics.
  • SAP certifications relevant to Cloud Integration or Integration Suite (not required, but an added advantage).

Behavioural competencies

  • Excellent English communication skills, both written and verbal, with the ability to explain technical problems and their business impact in clear language.
  • Structured questioning skills to gather information effectively from business users and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Proactive communication about progress, risks, and blockers, including concise status updates covering impact, findings, next steps, and expected resolution.
  • Strong sense of ownership, seeing assigned work through to resolution within the established support process.
  • Structured and methodical problem-solving approach.
  • Willingness to follow established processes and constructively help adjust them where needed for SAP CI.
  • Effective interpersonal and relationship-building skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
