Location: FairChain WorkForce Office – Nairobi, Kenya (Hybrid / on-site)
Salary: USD 1,200 – 1,700 per month (depending on experience and performance)
Start date: Immediate availability or short notice (max. 2–4 weeks)

This role is designed for strong audit seniors and assistant managers (preferably Big 4-trained) who consistently performed at a high level.

We are specifically looking for:

  • Professionals at Senior Associate or Assistant Manager level (or comparable in a top-tier firm)
  • Completed Advanced CPA / CPA-K
  • Candidates who can independently manage multiple year-end files and take full responsibility for deadlines and output quality

Positioning: This is an ex-audit career move. The role is intended for audit professionals who want to transition from audit testing and review into full ownership of financial reporting output.

This position is not suitable for junior-level candidates.

Your Role

As a Senior Accountant, you will take full ownership of year-end compilation and financial reporting for Dutch clients.

You will not perform audits. Instead, you will be responsible for the final reporting output and the technical quality of financial statements.

Your work includes:

  • Reviewing accounting records and identifying inconsistencies or risks
  • Performing final adjustments (accruals, provisions, reclassifications)
  • Converting reviewed accounting records into Dutch-compliant financial statements and abridged reports
  • Managing multiple year-end files simultaneously in a structured, deadline-driven environment
  • Delivering accurate, well-documented, review-ready files
  • Continuously improving efficiency, documentation quality, and turnaround time
  • Communicating professionally with Dutch accountants

This role combines technical rigor with a strong focus on execution speed and ownership.

What You Bring

  • CPA-K (advanced/qualified)
  • Minimum 4 years of audit experience in public practice (Big 4 or top-tier preferred)
  • Strong understanding of the full accounting cycle and financial reporting (IFRS)
  • Experience with year-end files, audit execution, and working paper documentation
  • Ability to work independently with high productivity and accuracy
  • Strong planning discipline and deadline ownership
  • Advanced Excel and excellent written and spoken English
  • Experience with cloud accounting systems (Exact Online preferred; QuickBooks, Xero, or similar accepted)
  • Willingness to quickly build expertise in Dutch GAAP (RJ)
