Job Description

Key Roles/Responsibilities

  • Lead deal sourcing (identify investment opportunities in SMEs/startups)
  • Conduct financial analysis & valuation (DCF, IRR, etc.)
  • Perform due diligence (financial, legal, operational)
  • Structure investment deals (equity, debt, hybrid)
  • Prepare investment memos and present to investment committee
  • Monitor portfolio companies and track performance
  • Build relationships with founders, investors, and partners

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field
  • Master’s degree/MBA (added advantage)
  • 5–8+ years experience in:
    • Private equity / venture capital / corporate finance
  • Strong financial modelling skills
  • Knowledge of African SME/startup ecosystem
  • Professional certifications (CFA, ACCA, CPA) – preferred
