Job Description
Key Roles/Responsibilities
- Lead deal sourcing (identify investment opportunities in SMEs/startups)
- Conduct financial analysis & valuation (DCF, IRR, etc.)
- Perform due diligence (financial, legal, operational)
- Structure investment deals (equity, debt, hybrid)
- Prepare investment memos and present to investment committee
- Monitor portfolio companies and track performance
- Build relationships with founders, investors, and partners
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Economics, Business or related field
- Master’s degree/MBA (added advantage)
- 5–8+ years experience in:
- Private equity / venture capital / corporate finance
- Strong financial modelling skills
- Knowledge of African SME/startup ecosystem
- Professional certifications (CFA, ACCA, CPA) – preferred
