Site Project Assistant – GCBC Project
Job Description
Nature Kenya seeks a qualified individual to support the field project manager in coordinating site-based activities and facilitating consultations, meetings, workshops, and events. The primary aim is to gather crucial information for addressing research questions in forest ecology, biodiversity, climate, and human well-being.
Responsibilities:
- Assist in Ecosystem Services Assessment of the Cherangani Forest Landscape.
- Contribute to Restoration Opportunity Assessment and Mapping (ROAM) of the Cherangani forest landscape.
- Support the development of the Cherangany Forest Restoration Business Case.
- Collaborate on the formulation of Ecosystem-based Adaptation Strategy and Action Plan.
- Participate in the implementation of Participatory Forest Management Plans by community forest associations.
- Contribute to the creation of printed knowledge products.
- Facilitate the dissemination of knowledge products.
Background:
The Site Project Assistant, based in Cherangani, will work closely with the project manager to ensure successful consultations led by prominent researchers.
