Job Description
We are seeking a highly skilled, hands-on Timber Construction Foreman for an alltimber sustainable project requiring precise geometry, disciplined installation, robust waterproofing, and a high standard of finish, with structured construction records for certification.
Scope
- •Timber structural frame is installed by a specialist subcontractor
- Â Exterior cladding, timber waterproofing, termite protection, and all exterior and interior finishing works are carried out by the in-house team
Role
- Work from architectural and structural drawings
- Check subcontracted timber structure installation against geometry, dimensions, and connection details in accordance with drawings
- Correct deviations before work proceeds
- Lead and supervise in-house cladding, waterproofing, and finishing works
- Maintain high standards for fixings, timber protection, installation, and finishing quality
- Complete daily construction records and logs
Requirements
- Experience delivering timber structures and high-quality finishes on site
- Experience must include timber structures (e.g. timber framing, timber roof structures, timber decking or similar); furniture/joinery-only experience is not suitable
- Ability to read and apply architectural and structural drawings for complex geometry
- Experience supervising contractors and managing site teams
- Strong understanding of timber fixings, connections, and waterproofing details
- Attention to accuracy, detailing, and final finish
