Roles / Responsibilities

  • Operate and monitor water and wastewater treatment systems
  • Control pumps, valves, and treatment processes
  • Test water quality and ensure compliance with standards
  • Record operational data and maintain logs
  • Detect and report system faults or leaks
  • Perform routine maintenance of equipment
  • Ensure safe handling of chemicals and materials
  • Respond to emergencies and system failures

Qualifications

  • Minimum: Certificate or Diploma in Water Engineering, Environmental Science, or related field
  • Basic knowledge of water treatment processes and systems
  • Ability to operate and monitor treatment equipment
  • Understanding of safety and environmental regulations
  • Good record-keeping and reporting skills
  • Physical fitness for plant operations
  • Prior experience in water or wastewater treatment is an added advantage
