Job Description

The duties and responsibilities of the officer will entail:
(i) Initiating research studies and drafting research proposals on research problems related
to examinations/assessments;
(ii) Preparing the program and coordinate development of research instruments and tools;

(iii) Preparing the program and coordinate training of trainers for Research tudies;
(iv) Coordinating printing of the research data collection instruments;
(v) Coordinating training of data collectors;
(vi) Coordinating data entry, cleaning, analysis and report writing for research studies;
(vii) Disseminating research study findings;
(viii) Processing and verifying data requests;
(ix) Coordinating preparation of annual Departmental Performance Contracts;
(x) Reviewing the preparation of the annual performance contracts;
(xi) Developing and implementing departmental plans, policies, norms and procedures.
(xii) Promoting adherence to the Intellectual Property Rights policy.

Required skills

At least eight (8) years cumulative relevant work experience, three (3) of which should have served Bachelor's degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics Demonstrated merit in work performance; Management Course lasting not less than four (4) weeks from a recognized institution; Proficiency in Masters degree in any of the following disciplines: Education, Economics, Mathematics, Statistics, R
