Job Description
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair Toyota Land Cruiser 78/79 Series vehicles
- Maintain diesel engines (1HZ, 1VD, 1KD) for optimal performance and reliability
- Inspect and maintain suspension systems, chassis, and undercarriage components
- Service and overhaul 4×4 systems, including differentials, transfer cases, and hubs
- Maintain safari-specific accessories such as winches, snorkels, and roof racks
- Diagnose and repair electrical systems, including dual batteries and in-vehicle power systems
- Conduct pre- and post-operation vehicle inspections
- Implement preventive maintenance programs based on usage and terrain conditions
- Respond to breakdowns and perform field repairs where necessary
- Carry out safe vehicle recovery using approved techniques
- Maintain accurate service records and documentation
- Mentor junior technicians and support a high-performance workshop culture
What We’re Looking For
- Diploma or higher qualification in Automotive Engineering
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a senior technician or mechanic role
- Proven experience with Toyota Land Cruiser diesel engines (1HZ, 1VD, 1KD)
- Strong knowledge of 4×4 systems, diagnostics, and automotive electronics
- Experience with Toyota dealerships (e.g., CFAO) is an added advantage
- Valid driving licence
