Job Description
Deputy Director (Personnel/Human Resource Administration) Grade: 14 Directorate: Human Resource Advert Reference: AC/12/288/23
Requirements for Appointment
- Academic and Professional:
- Relevant Bachelor’s Degree in Management, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Project Planning, Communication, or any related discipline from a recognized university in Kenya.
- Master’s degree in Administration, Management, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, Project Planning, Communication, or any related discipline.
- Membership in good standing to a relevant Professional body (where applicable).
Duties and Responsibilities
- Administration of terms of service for staff
- Implementation of human resource policies and procedures
- Coordination of Staff Performance Appraisal in the University
- Management of the Personnel Module of HRMIS.
- Human Resource administration including processing of staff allowances, benefits, and entitlements
- Confirmation of appointments
- Staff clearance and processing of staff final dues
- Processing of retirement notices
- Oversight role for all staff in the Personnel section
- Any other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor from time to time.
Salary and Benefits
- Basic Salary: Kshs 162,303-228,848
- House Allowances: Kshs 66,344
- All other allowances and benefits as per terms of service applicable to respective job grades or determined by Council.
