Job Description

Umma University is seeking a qualified individual for the position of Clinical Instructor in the School of Nursing and Midwifery. The Clinical Instructor will play a crucial role in diffusing as a manager, teacher, and mentor. Responsibilities include liaising with the Dean and HODs for student placements, providing orientation for students to clinical sites, supporting faculty in developing objectives and competencies, monitoring student progress, serving as a role model and mentor, addressing student questions, and maintaining student confidentiality. The candidate should hold a Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree, have at least three years of experience in a similar role, and be registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya. A master’s degree in the same field is an added advantage.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor of Science in Nursing degree.
  • At least three (3) years of experience in a similar role.
  • Registered with the Nursing Council of Kenya in good standing.
  • A master’s degree in the same field will be an added advantage.

Personal Attributes:

  • Highly organized with excellent strategic and planning skills.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
