Job Description

 Deputy Registrar (Examinations), 

Salary and Benefits

  • Basic Salary: Kshs 162,303-228,848
  • House Allowances: Kshs 66,344
  • Additional allowances and benefits per terms of service or Council determinations

Qualifications for Appointment

  • Academic and professional criteria:
    • Relevant Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized Kenyan university in Administration, Educational Administration, Education, Communication, Management, Public Administration, Human Resource Management, Business Administration, or related discipline.
    • Master’s degree in the aforementioned fields.
    • Membership in a relevant Professional body (if applicable).

Experience and Skills

  • 9 years administrative experience, with at least 3 years at the Senior Assistant Registrar level.
  • Membership in a recognized, relevant professional body.
  • Administrative skills: organization, responsibility, teamwork, communication, time management, multitasking, and customer care.
  • Computer literacy.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Administration of infrastructure, facilities, amenities, equipment, ICT systems, and other resources for examination management.
  • Coordination of External Examination processes.
  • Processing procurement, storage, and distribution of examination materials.
  • Coordination of procurement, storage, processing, and issuance of certificates and transcripts.
  • Verification and certification of certificates and academic documents.
  • Updating and preservation of the roll of convocation.
  • Management and Administration of Personnel in the Examination section.
  • Any other duties as assigned by the Vice Chancellor.
